Feast Local is a seasonal gathering to celebrate and showcase local food. This is an event I have been dreaming up for over a year and I am so excited to finally share this with you, along with my co-organiser and sister Ana Galloway.
The inaugural Feast Local will be launched with a long lunch set in the gorgeous rose courtyard at Fairfield House*. The small gathering of guests will be seated at long tables styled simply with foraged spring florals, and a rustic three-course meal and drinks will be served.
When: Saturday 14th November / 1 – 4pm
Where: Fairfield House Cost: $75.00 per person
A three-course lunch will consist of:
– Grazing platters with local handmade cheeses, sourdough bread and fresh dips.
– A main course featuring locally caught Kai Moana, spring greens and breads – accompanied by Kaimira Organic Wines.
– And to finish a decadent lemon dessert plus chocolate truffles served with local Hollow teas.
There will also be several short demonstrations during the afternoon, one by Sara-Lee aka Miss FlowerGirl on arranging foraged flowers, and a food demo from our chef Nathan Davis on copper pan mastery. And if that isn’t enough excitement for one day each guest will take home a goodie bag containing locally made treasures.
